At the federal level: the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and HHS have updated telehealth rules: Medicare patients can get non-behavioral/mental health telehealth from home with no geographic origin site limits until at least Sept 30, 2025
Tip: If your home-care agency offers or partners for telehealth services, update your intake packet to reflect that geography no longer blocks these telehealth visits. Review your partnerships with telehealth vendors make sure they know this change and are compliant.
